In October, Artiphon released an iOS app to allow owners of its quirky sound to create and share music videos. A suite of built-in visual effects makes the software a fun and easy way to create musical “selfies” and music videos that you can upload to sites like TikTok and Instagram. If you want to check out the app, you can now do so without buying the $99 Orba first.
Artiphon has updated the software to add optional on-screen controls. Now all you have to do is press the eight keys displayed on the screen to play music. At the top of the interface, there’s a toggle to switch between drum, bass, chord, and lead modes, adding a lot of flexibility to your beatmaking. The app automatically generates visual effects that sync with the music you create, and you can choose from a variety of effects via a selection carousel. You are also free to use your phone’s front or back camera to record images.
You can download the updated Orbacam app for free from today on the App Store.
