Ahead of Carl Cox’s highly anticipated new album, ‘Electronic Generations’on October 28, comes the release of ‘Welcome to my world’ – a hard-hitting 4-track EP with a brand new track ‘The world has gone mad’and new versions of ‘Speed Trials on Acid’, ‘How It Makes You Feel’, and “See the sun rise”.
These are Carl’s original tracks, as he created them for his album – a true representation of the sound of ‘Electronic generations.‘ Three of them were released this year as ‘pre-mixes’, albeit in very different versions, reworked and reinvented in collaboration with some of Carl’s favorite artists; ‘Acid speed tests dated Fatboy Slim, ‘How does that make you feel’ with Nicole Moudaber and more recently “See the Sun Rise” with Franky Wah.
These collaborations played a huge role in shaping the new album, but hearing the original tracks the way Carl intended them to be heard isn’t just hugely enjoyable – it’s also essential to understandElectronic generations‘ as a concept. ‘Welcome to my world’ is representative of Carl’s unwavering passion for advancing club culture and his own growth as an artist. A deliberate step out of his comfort zone as an accomplished and innovative DJ and selector, into the exciting world of machine-driven live performance.
