Cheerdance UAAP to stream for free on the GigaPlay app

Smart Communications, Inc. has revealed that it will stream the return of the competition Sunday at 4 p.m. for free via its GigaPlay app, with no subscription fees or data charges.

To take advantage of free streaming, Smart subscribers must download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, create an account and watch while connected to Smart Mobile Data or PLDT Home WiFi – without incurring any charges. data charges.

The CDC UAAP is set to take place for the first time since 2019, with the league’s cheer squads running shortened routines and featuring fewer staff.

UAAP confirmed on Thursday that a maximum of 15 performers will be allowed on the Mall of Asia Arena’s competition floor, down from the 25-man squad in previous seasons.

Additionally, routines are only required to last two and a half to three minutes, while teams were allowed six minutes in previous years.

Perhaps the biggest change is that no live drums are allowed in the competition, with teams performing to canned music.
