New Delhi, Sep 01 (PTI) Referring to NIOS claim to offer the first virtual school already in 2021, the Delhi government said on Thursday that its Model Delhi Virtual School, which will teach grades 9-12, will be strictly online with no parallel or hybrid approach.
The National Open School Institute said in a statement on Wednesday that the country’s first virtual school was launched by the Center last year.
The Delhi government has said that NIOS has study centers spread across the country that deliver in-person classes, while the Delhi Model Virtual School will be entirely virtual.
“The Delhi government has taken NIOS as an option for our students in some schools. They have study centers spread across different parts of the country that function as in-person support classes.
“In 2021, they have decided to offer this study support alongside through the online mode as well without removing its in-person study centers,” the Delhi government said in a statement.
He said during the pandemic most schools switched to online teaching and after the pandemic many of them are still following the hybrid approach.
“If, on the basis of offering online study courses as one of the options for its students, NIOS says it is now a fully virtual school, then all the best to them” , did he declare. PTI ABU ABU VN VN
