Hawaii Libraries Offers Online Music Lessons Taught By Master Musicians


HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Hawaii State Public Library System is offering free online music lessons.

The new program is called Artist Works.

It offers self-paced online lessons taught by professional musicians.

“To have access to a wide range of experts, from Grammy-winning musicians, to learn how to play a variety of instruments, from wind to piano to drums and even hip hop scratch,” said Stacey Aldrich, State Librarian of the Hawaii State Public Library System.

To take classes, use your library card and access the Libby app on your mobile device or visit the Libby App on your computer.

At the library, you can borrow a ukulele. Ukulele lessons are taught by Craig Chee and Sarah Maisel. The husband and wife team are featured at festivals around the world with ukulele.
