Horse racing picks Saratoga Raceway on Saturday, August 6

There are plenty of great horse races across America on Friday, including at Saratoga Racecourse. We’ve been on fire with our picks for a long time and in the last 2 days in Saratoga we had 5 winners out of 7 picks which allowed us to make a profit of +300.66 units with our race picks at our recommended stakes dating back to August 5, 2021. Let’s keep rolling today!

Here are our best bets for today’s action in Saratoga.

2:50 p.m. ET Saratoga (Race 5) – Public Sector 2/1 (2-star play)

Chad Brown’s Charge scored a hat trick in Graded Company by winning the Grade 2 Hill Prince Stakes by a mile and an eighth at Belmont Park last October. He’s finished on the Grade 3 contest board in his two most recent starts, including over a mile in the Grade 3 Apple Forbidden Stakes here last month. The public sector has shown a fondness for this track in the past and is planning to record a third victory in graded play at this site.

3:58 p.m. ET Saratoga (Race 7) – War Like Goddess 4/7 (3-Star Game)

The English Channel girl’s only loss in her last six starts came when she finished third in the Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf Grade 1 over a mile and three-eighths at Del Mar in November of the last year. She found her way back to winning ways with a quarter-and-three-quarter mile-and-a-half victory in the Grade 3 Bewitch Stakes at Keeneland on her seasonal debut in late April, and she’s set to claim an 8th victory in 10 career starts.

5:07 p.m. ET Saratoga (Race 9) – Matareya 1/3 (3-star play)

Matareya sets the clear standard for form after winning each of his last four starts, including in all races to claim a six-and-a-quarter win in the Grade 1 Acorn Stakes over a mile at Belmont Park in June . She’s delivered solid work in recent mornings, including a five furlong 1:00 run here in her penultimate timed breeze. Brad Cox’s charge looks capable of continuing its winning run with Flavien Prat booked to ride.

5:43 p.m. ET Saratoga (Race 10) – Life Is Good 5/6 (3-star play)

Life Is Good impressed by winning the Pegasus World Cup Invitational Grade 1 over a mile and an eighth at Gulfstream Park in January. He showed no ill effects for his fourth-place finish at the Dubai World Cup when he went all out to win the Year 2 John A. Nerud Stakes over seven furlongs at Belmont Park in early July. He is brought in to reverse the form of the Dubai World Cup with Hot Rod Charlie and provide Todd Pletcher with a Grade 1 winner.

6:20 p.m. ET Saratoga (Race 11) – Nations Pride 3/1 (2-star play)

European raider Nations Pride claimed a runner-up finish at Classic Causeway in the Tier 1 Belmont Derby over a mile and a quarter at Belmont Park last month. He had to challenge wide on this occasion and while he drops a sixteenth on the road here it should be no problem for the son of Teofilo selected to record a first victory at the highest level. Jockey William Buick, who won selection at Newmarket in May, made the trip to New York to ride for trainer Charlie Appleby.
