MOTG presents the Dyken clan and Nightwolf


MARIPOSE – This weekend Mariposa County Arts Council’s Music on the Green Features Clan Dike Friday, July 8 and night wolf Saturday July 9.

Clan Dyken is a blues rock band Tuolumne County who has been at the forefront of the California live music scene for decades. They have played hundreds of festivals including earth danceand even open for the Jerry Garcia’s band in Northern California in the 1980s. The band consists of brothers Mark and Bear Dyken on drums and guitar respectively. They also have an electric bass player to complete their power trio. Clan Dyken are strong environmental and social activists and use their music as a tool to spread their positive message. See the video below.

On Saturday, July 9, Nightwolf will make their debut with Music on the Green. Nightwolf is based in the Fresno area and has Mariposa resident Austin Ridenhour on drums. The group plays a style of rock steeped in Latin.

Gratuities to interpreters will be solicited, encouraged and appreciated.

All performances begin at 7:00 p.m. (unless otherwise stated) at Mariposa County Art Park, located on the highway. 140 between 4th and 5th Streets in historic downtown Mariposa, California.

Parking is available along 5th Street. The lower 5th Street parking lot provides an accessible pedestrian path to Arts Park through the Mariposa Creek Boardwalk hall.
