OSWEGO – Long known as a stepping stone to the big racing leagues at Oswego Speedway, Oswego Kartway will now see its champions and Kartway Classic winners recognized at Oswego Speedway’s two crown jewel events; the Budweiser International Classic 200 and the NAPA Super DIRT Week Billy Whittaker Cars 200 Super DIRTcar series.

Located directly behind Oswego Speedway, the Kartway will reopen in 2022 for a special three-race “King of the Kartway” series, which will crown track champions in seven different divisions after events on Friday, August 12, Thursday, September 1 and Friday, September 23 September.

Track champions in each division will receive a pair of free general admission tickets to the NAPA Super DIRT Week Super DIRTcar Billy Whittaker Cars 200 Series on Sunday, October 9 and each will be recognized at pre-race ceremonies before the pilot presentations.

Each champion will not only be greeted at the pre-race stage and introduced to the crowd, but will also have the opportunity to shake hands with each starter in the Billy Whittaker Cars 200.

The Oswego Kartway Classic, which takes place on Thursday, September 1 during the Budweiser International Classic weekend, will offer each of its champions a chance to be recognized during the Budweiser International Classic 200 driver presentations on Sunday, September 4.

Each winner of the Kartway Classic will stand on the podium of the Classic and will be introduced to the crowd before greeting each starter of the International Classic.

The top three finishers from Kartway Classic events will once again receive free tickets to the Oswego Speedway Classic Weekend.

“We can’t thank NAPA Super DIRT Week’s Jeff Hachmann and Oswego Speedway’s Paul Conzone enough for these special opportunities for our racers,” said King of the Kartway series promoter Dan Kapuscinski. “Oswego Kartway offers a unique chance for up-and-coming racers to compete behind one of the country’s most historic speed circuits and now our Classic champions and winners will receive an unforgettable memory when they are included in the pre-show ceremonies. -race for these major events.
