“Are you ready?” features a powerful solo from Cleveland singer Stacey Richardson, with lyrics that honor the loyalty, pride and resilience of all who serve as Guardians of the Earth. Richardson, who performed the national anthem at Progressive Field on July 3, began singing with his family’s gospel choir, the Weeden Family Singers, at a young age and traveled the world with major artists such as Gerald Levert and Anthony Hamilton, in addition to assisting with vocal arrangements for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremonies in Cleveland. Excerpts from “Are You Ready?” have recently been featured in branded campaign spots and a trending new video in the park.

“Are you ready?” and “We Are Cleveland” were written in conjunction with the Guardians and produced by Sam Getz and Jimmy Weaver, two founding members of Cleveland-based band Welshly Arms. Getz and Weaver are joined on drums by Joey “Coach” Hanna, who has toured and recorded with artists such as Bootsy Collins & Gavin DeGraw. Two other Welshly Arms members, the husband and wife team of Jon Bryant and Bri Bryant (“Lady Bri”), alongside Richardson, accompany the duo on vocals. Recording sessions for both tracks took place at Blakwall Studios on Cleveland’s West Side courtesy of Position Music.
