The Higher releases the title of the next EP “Elvis in Wonderland”

It’s been over a decade since The Higher, born and raised in Las Vegas, toured town to town and released their third studio album It’s Only Natural via Epitaph Records.

What felt like an indefinite hiatus has come to an end and The Higher has officially returned. Over the past month, the pop-rock quartet have been making waves with the release of their comeback single “Free Ride”; giving fans a preview of their forthcoming EP Elvis in Wonderland – which will be released on October 14, 2022 via Secret Friends Music Group.

With no intention of stopping their momentum, The Higher today released the second single from their upcoming project: the title track “Elvis in Wonderland” on DSP. For the group, “Elvis in Wonderland” is a commentary on the feeling that Las Vegas brings to those who desire a well-deserved escape. Coupled with hard-hitting kicks and dancing guitar riffs, “Elvis in Wonderland” is the perfect textbook for that early 2000s emo and pop rock energy we all know and love.

“Singing on Fremont a few times a week since we disbanded has given me a different perspective of Vegas. There’s a million characters all wandering around, trying to scratch that itch in a way that only this place can provide. “I tried to put myself in their shoes. What would Vegas be like as a tourist? I’m jealous, I’ll never know.”

– Seth Trotter, lead singer of The Higher

Tucked away with the single’s release is a colorful visual directed and edited by Alex Bemis that pays homage to the EP’s overarching themes and continues the story of our Elvis impersonator in “Free Ride.” Against the backdrop of the casino’s pulsating lights, the music video focuses on Elvis out of hours, completely drunk in the euphoria of it all. He’s simply Elvis, unfiltered – in a Vegas wonderland.

“I found the Elvis we used for the video on Craigslist. Bob. Great guy. We took a literal approach to the Elvis video. We wanted to show what it’s like to be Elvis at the wonderland, and Bob made it.” – Reggie Ragan, guitarist of The Higher

The Elvis in Wonderland EP hits DSPs everywhere on October 14 and will be available on vinyl via Secret Friends Music Group, Take This To Heart Records and Parting Gift Records. Fans can now pre-order merchandise bundles with limited quantity vinyl variants in colors such as Half Gold/Half Bone with Black Splashes, Crush Orange with Easter Yellow and Red Splashes, Neon Yellow and Ultra Clear with Easter Splashes. gold.

The Higher rode the wave of pop-rock stardom in the early 2000s after sharing the stage with emo big names including Panic! At The Disco, Taking Back Sunday, Motion City Soundtrack, Silverstein, and more.

Now, the Epitaph Records alumni are leveraging everything they know from their debut milestones to shine brighter than ever for their 2022 comeback.

They are set to share their first release since 2009, the EP Elvis In Wonderland which will be released on October 14, 2022 via Secret Friends Music Group.
