Ringo Star today marks the new availability of its EP3 on vinyl and cassette formats with a brand new music video for his track “Everyone and Everything”.
The promotional clip is directed by Kil Arens, the famous pop artist, graphic designer and director, who also owns La-La Land Gallery in Los Angeles. Among his other accolades, Arens directed the admired and poignant video for Glenn CampbellThe late entry to 2011’s “Ghost on the Canvas”, which featured its writer, Paul Westerberg.
Arens then made two more music videos for Campbell’s songs and worked for stone age queensthe Pixies and others, and he oversaw the 2019 video for Elton Johnnew song from The Rocket Man biopic, “(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again,” which also featured the film’s star, Taron Egerton.
In the uplifting and colorful new video, a typically feisty, smiling Starr is seen playing drums in an open space and walking among colorful backdrops, intercut with an image of the old Beatles in younger years.
by Ringo EP3 was released digitally and on CD in September, and is now complemented by special 10-inch vinyl and limited-edition translucent royal blue cassette releases. “Everyone and Everything” is written by frequent Starr collaborator and best-selling songwriter Linda Perry as a call to arms on the environment. It includes lyrics such as “We can try to make life better, or just fade away” and “Hope we wake up real soon”.
